Job descriptionAs a Volunteer Coordinator you will manage all elements of volunteering within the charity Creating Better Futures. The role involves assessing an charity’s needs and then meeting those needs.
What will you be doing?
As a volunteer coordinator you will manage all elements of volunteering within the charity Creating Better Futures. The role involves assessing an charity’s HR needs and then meeting those needs through the recruitment, placement and retention of volunteers. The role is carried out remotely and can fit around your other commitments.
What are we looking
for?
Experience in volunteer/staff recruitment, development and retention.Typical work activities
• Generating appropriate volunteering opportunities and role descriptions based on the needs of the charity.
• Recruiting volunteers and ensuring they are appropriately matched and trained for their positions.
• Monitoring, supporting and motivating volunteers.
• Offering advice and information to volunteers.
• Promoting volunteering through recruitment and publicity strategies and campaigns.
• Celebrating volunteering by nominating volunteers for awards.
• Keeping up to date with legislation and policy related to volunteering and making any necessary modifications to accommodate changes.
• Researching and writing volunteer policies, procedures and updating application forms.
• Maintaining databases and undertaking any other administrative duties.
