Key Duties

As a Pediatric PACU RN on travel assignment, you will provide perioperative care for pediatric patients in the post-anesthesia care unit. You will monitor patient recovery, administer medications, and collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare team members to ensure patient safety and comfort. Responsibilities include:

• Assessing pediatric patients post-surgery and monitoring vital signs.

• Administering medications and providing interventions as needed.

• Documenting patient care and recovery progress accurately.

• Collaborating with the perioperative team to ensure seamless patient care.

• Responding quickly to any changes in patient condition, following established protocols.

• Educating patients and families on post-operative care instructions.

Requirements

• Current RN license and eligibility to work in Colorado.

• Minimum of one year of pediatric PACU experience required.

• Strong assessment, critical thinking, and clinical decision-making skills.

• Ability to work 4 consecutive 10-hour shifts (06:00 – 16:30).

• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities in a fast-paced environment.
