Key Duties

As a Travel CNA, you will provide essential direct patient care while supporting nurses and healthcare teams in a fast-paced environment. Your responsibilities include:

• Assisting patients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility.

• Monitoring and recording vital signs including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration.

• Supporting patient nutrition through feeding assistance and dietary compliance.

• Observing and reporting changes in patient condition to nursing staff promptly.

• Maintaining accurate documentation of patient care and observations.

• Adhering to infection control, safety standards, and healthcare regulations.

• Providing emotional support and companionship to patients and their families.

• Performing other duties as assigned within the scope of practice.

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of recent CNA experience in a healthcare setting.

• Valid CNA registration in accordance with Alaska state regulations.

• Current BLS/CPR certification (AHA or ARC).

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact with patients, families, and healthcare teams effectively.

• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately.

• Physical capability to assist with patient mobility, lift and move equipment (50–100 lbs), and stand or move for extended periods.

• Competency with basic computer skills for documentation purposes.

• Preferred: Additional certifications may be required depending on facility needs.
