The University of Calgary is inviting applications for temporary Administrative Support positions across multiple departments. These roles provide short-term, part-time or full-time assistance, supporting the smooth delivery of academic, administrative, and operational functions within the university.

Key Responsibilities

Responsibilities may vary by department but can include:

  • Providing general reception and front-desk support.

  • Handling customer service inquiries in person, via email, and over the phone.

  • Performing administrative tasks such as photocopying, filing, and data entry.

  • Coordinating and organizing departmental operations and services.

  • Scheduling meetings and making travel arrangements.

  • Drafting correspondence, preparing reports, and developing presentations.

  • Using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Access, Teams) for various administrative tasks.

  • Maintaining accurate records and ensuring confidentiality.

  • Supporting collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications
  • Minimum Education: High school diploma (Grade 12) with additional training in administration.

  • Experience: Prior experience in an administrative or office support role.

  • Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

  • Strong typing, proofreading, and attention to detail.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, Access, PowerPoint, Teams).

  • Ability to work independently while contributing positively to a team environment.
