Key Duties

As a Refrigeration/HVAC Technician, you will:

• Service and repair commercial refrigeration and HVAC systems in Walmart facilities.

• Diagnose issues by inspecting, testing, and operating equipment.

• Use work order systems to receive assignments, track progress, and document completed repairs.

• Provide immediate response to emergency calls and perform preventive maintenance.

• Follow company safety policies while complying with OSHA and EPA standards.

• Participate in training and certification programs to stay current with tools, procedures, and equipment.

• Handle physical tasks including lifting up to 75 lbs., working on ladders, and operating at heights.

Requirements

• Vocational/technical HVAC-R certification and 2+ years of experience in commercial HVAC/R maintenance or 4 years of related experience.

• Large-scale rack refrigeration experience.

• EPA Type I/Type II or Universal Certification for refrigerant handling.

• Valid driver’s license with a clean record and ability to pass an MVR check.

• High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a 2-year vocational program is preferred.

• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Pay & Benefits

• Hourly pay: $23.00 – $45.00 (based on experience and role level)

• Additional premiums of $0.35 – $3.00 per hour may apply depending on schedule, facility, or season.
