ERGOS Technology Partners is seeking a motivated Tier 2 Technical Support Specialist to join our Live Desk team. This role focuses on providing advanced technical support to clients, resolving complex issues, and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
Primary responsibilities include:
- Providing application, hardware, and software support for end-users both over the phone and on-site.
- Troubleshooting advanced network, server, and workstation issues, including VoIP systems and email environments such as Microsoft Exchange and Office365.
- Configuring and maintaining firewalls, switches, VLANs, VPNs, and other network devices from vendors like Cisco, SonicWall, Fortinet, Meraki, and Ubiquiti.
- Diagnosing connectivity and routing issues across LAN and WAN, managing network protocols and services like DHCP, DNS, SMTP, NTP, and SNMP.
- Monitoring and addressing security concerns, including malware, antivirus, and spam filtering.
- Documenting client issues from initial receipt through resolution, providing clear and detailed records.
- Assisting in training and mentoring other help desk staff as needed.
- Staying up-to-date on technology trends and industry practices to provide accurate and effective solutions.
- Minimum of 3 years of technical support experience in a service desk or managed services environment.
- Knowledge of Windows and macOS operating systems.
- Strong understanding of networking protocols, virtualization (VMware/HyperV), and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure).
- Excellent problem-solving, multitasking, and organizational skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities for technical and non-technical audiences.
- Professional demeanor and prior experience providing high-level customer service.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field preferred but not required depending on experience.
