The Social Studies Teacher supports students in mastering Florida standards across grades 6–12 within a girl-centered, trauma-informed classroom environment. This role emphasizes strong instructional practices and individualized support to ensure academic success and personal growth.
Responsibilities include:

Developing and delivering lesson plans that align with state standards and meet the needs of diverse learners.

Using assessments to monitor student progress and adjusting instruction accordingly.

Creating a safe and engaging classroom environment that encourages participation, respect, and collaboration.

Incorporating differentiated instruction to address varied learning levels and styles.

Maintaining accurate records, including grades, attendance, and student progress plans.

Providing academic advising and supporting college, career, and post-secondary readiness.

Collaborating with colleagues, families, and community partners to enhance student success.

Participating in occasional school events such as family nights and community activities.

Upholding professional ethics, compliance standards, and organizational values.

Required:
-
Bachelor’s Degree or higher.
-
Active Florida Department of Education Statement of Eligibility, Temporary, or Professional Teaching Certificate.

Ability to teach Social Studies for grades 6–12.

Preferred:
-
Degree in Education.
-
Experience teaching in a trauma-informed setting.

Comfortable working across multiple grade levels.

Valid Florida Driver’s License.

Competitive salary starting at $55,000.
