Key Duties

As a Kindergarten Teacher with Broward County Public Schools, you will foster a classroom environment that promotes high expectations, curiosity, and a love of learning. Responsibilities include:

• Planning and delivering age-appropriate instruction that aligns with district standards and curriculum goals.

• Using a variety of assessment strategies to track student progress and inform instruction.

• Integrating critical thinking, problem-solving, interpersonal skills, and technology into lessons.

• Creating a classroom environment that supports positive behavior, social development, and cooperative learning.

• Communicating effectively with students, parents, and colleagues to support student achievement.

• Maintaining accurate records and managing classroom materials and school property responsibly.

• Supporting students with diverse learning styles, including those requiring ESOL instruction when applicable.

Requirements

• Education & Certification: Must hold appropriate Florida teaching certification.

• Skills: Proficient in using technology for instruction, strong classroom management, and effective communication skills.

• Preferred: Bilingual skills are an asset.
