Key Duties

Broward County Public Schools is seeking a dedicated Teacher for its ESE Specialized VE program to foster a classroom environment that promotes high expectations, engagement, and measurable academic growth. The teacher will:

• Develop and implement instructional plans that integrate critical thinking, interpersonal skills, technology, and practical application aligned with state and district standards.

• Utilize assessments to monitor student progress and guide instructional adjustments.

• Promote student development across intellectual, social, and personal domains through supportive learning strategies.

• Maintain effective communication with students, parents, colleagues, and other stakeholders.

• Foster a culturally responsive and inclusive classroom, adapting instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners, including students with special needs.

• Establish classroom management systems that encourage active participation, cooperation, and self-motivation.

• Engage in professional growth, continuous improvement, and collaborative practices to enhance teaching and learning.

• Integrate technology appropriately to support instruction and student learning outcomes.

• Maintain accurate records, reports, and accountability for school property, and comply with federal, state, and district regulations.

Requirements

• State of Florida teaching certification appropriate for the position.

• Competency with relevant technology for instructional purposes.

• Knowledge of effective teaching strategies for students with special needs.

• Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.

• Preferred: Bilingual skills to support diverse learners.

• Completion of ESOL training if assigned Limited English Proficient (LEP) students.
