Key Duties

As the HR Liaison and Staff Assistant, you will provide high-level administrative support to the District Administrator and Assistant District Administrator, including:

  • Preparing personnel recommendation packets and assisting with recruitment and hiring processes.

  • Managing office functions such as correspondence, meeting coordination, conference calls, and visitor reception.

  • Handling travel authorizations, reimbursements, accommodations, and itineraries.

  • Overseeing district office fleet management, including maintenance, fueling, and reporting.

  • Maintaining records, preparing reports, entering data in relevant databases, and ensuring compliance with administrative rules and policies.

  • Assisting staff, clients, and the public while providing excellent customer service.

  • Performing other duties as assigned to support office operations.

Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree preferred.

  • 1-3 years of secretarial, clerical, or administrative experience.

  • Basic knowledge of human resources functions including recruitment, employee forms, and personnel processing.

  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and maintain professionalism under stress.

  • Must successfully complete Level 2 background screening and comply with Selective Service requirements (if applicable).
