Job description

 

Senior Commissioning Engineer

Salary: £40,000 – £45,000 per annum + bonus + benefits

Location: London & UK-wide travel

Contract: Permanent, Full-time

Hybrid Working: Office & site-based with flexibility.

The Role

We’re seeking an experienced Senior Commissioning Engineer to lead the delivery of complex fire and security projects. You’ll be the technical authority on-site, commission and test systems to the highest standards, mentor junior engineers, and represent SecureWais confidently with clients and consultants.

What You’ll Do:

· Commission and test fire/security systems across high-end projects.

· Ensure compliance with British Standards and UK safety regulations.

· Review and validate designs, drawings, and documentation.

· Lead inspections, testing, and handovers.

· Mentor and support junior engineers.

· Deliver client training on completed systems.

What We Need:

Essential
• Valid CSCS or ECS card (or ability to obtain prior to start).
• Relevant industry qualifications (e.g. FIA modules, Level 3 electrical/electronic qualification).
• Full UK driving licence.
• Eligibility to obtain BPSS and SC clearance.

Desirable
• Manufacturer training certifications on key fire/security systems.
• Health & Safety qualifications (e.g. IOSH, NEBOSH).
