The Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO) is seeking a Senior Advisor, Corporate Affairs to support its governance, corporate initiatives, and relationships with government partners. This role involves providing strategic advice, leading projects, and strengthening issues management across the agency.
As a Senior Advisor, you will contribute research and analysis to inform decision-making, develop evidence-based recommendations, and advance the AGCO’s mandate. You will work closely with senior leadership, external partners, and internal teams to support critical initiatives while ensuring alignment with government priorities.

Key Duties-
Provide strategic advice and analysis on policy, governance, and program issues.

Lead and coordinate components of corporate projects and government priorities.

Support effective issues management by developing strategies, fostering relationships, and preparing communications.

Research emerging trends and best practices to inform policy development and corporate planning.

Prepare briefing materials, reports, and sensitive communications under tight deadlines.

Collaborate with stakeholders across government and the agency to ensure effective oversight and accountability.

Several years of experience in public policy, project management, or program development (preferably in public sector or regulatory settings).

Strong background in issues management, stakeholder engagement, and government relations.

Post-secondary education in public administration, political science, or related fields (graduate degrees or certifications in law, business, or project management are assets).

Knowledge of Ontario’s alcohol, gaming, and cannabis sectors, including applicable legislation, or ability to quickly learn.

Excellent communication, research, and analytical skills, with proven ability to prepare high-quality reports and recommendations.

Strong judgment, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.

Must be eligible to work in Canada and able to undergo a criminal background check.

Hourly salary of CA$52.27–CA$65.34.

Temporary, full-time contract of up to 12 months.
