The Role & Responsibilities

As a Senior Accountant, you will play a key role in managing the financial health of the organization. You will ensure accurate accounting, provide insightful analysis, and contribute to strategic financial planning.

Core Responsibilities

Financial Reporting and Analysis

  • Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring compliance with statutory regulations.

  • Conduct variance analysis to provide insights into financial performance and highlight areas for improvement.

Management Accounting

  • Support budgeting and forecasting processes by providing accurate financial data and analysis.

  • Collaborate with department heads to interpret financial results and guide decision-making.

Compliance and Controls

  • Ensure adherence to accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies.

  • Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure accurate reporting.

Team Collaboration and Support

  • Mentor and support junior accountants, providing guidance and training as needed.

  • Liaise with external auditors and tax advisors to facilitate smooth audits and compliance reviews.

Process Improvement

  • Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and enhance efficiency within the finance function.

  • Participate in the development and implementation of new financial systems and procedures.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Education: A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred. Professional qualifications such as ACCA, CIMA, or ACA are highly desirable.

  • Experience: Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in a senior accounting role, ideally within a similar industry.

  • Skills: Strong analytical and numerical skills, proficiency with accounting software, and advanced Excel capabilities.

  • Knowledge: Thorough understanding of accounting principles, statutory reporting, and tax regulations.

  • Soft Skills: Excellent attention to detail, effective communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
