Harvest Midstream Company is seeking a Safety Specialist to oversee and enhance workplace safety across our operations in Alaska. The role focuses on ensuring compliance with occupational safety and health regulations while fostering a proactive safety culture. Core responsibilities include:

Leading safety programs in the field and maintaining visible engagement with personnel.

Conducting audits and inspections of facilities, processes, and contractor operations.

Coordinating and delivering EHS (Environmental, Health, and Safety) training, both instructor-led and computer-based, while identifying and addressing training gaps.

Managing incident reporting, investigations, and follow-ups for injuries, spills, near misses, and high-potential events.

Monitoring fleet and process safety, performing safety spot-checks, and supporting compliance with DOT, federal, state, and local regulations.

Acting as a point of contact for Management of Change, emergency response, and alcohol/substance testing programs.

Supporting the Environmental group with audits and inspections, and assisting with field environmental tasks as needed.

Maintaining strong field presence using current technology to carry out duties efficiently.

Minimum 5 years of experience in operations, production, safety, health, and training, ideally in oil and gas or midstream operations.

Familiarity with process safety concepts and incident management preferred.

Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills to interact across all organizational levels.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) and strong data management skills.

Ability to manage multiple priorities and perform duties in outdoor and industrial settings.

Must reside within the region of the assigned asset team and be available for occasional on-call duties and travel (25% or more).
Education & Certifications:

Associate/Technical degree required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Certifications such as CSHO, ASP, or CSP preferred.
