Key Duties

Trans-Global Solutions is seeking a skilled RR Track Inspector to perform inspections and supervise track construction, maintenance, and repair projects. The inspector ensures all track work meets federal and company specifications while maintaining a safe and productive work environment. Key responsibilities include:

• Inspecting repaired and new track to confirm compliance with specifications and safety standards.
• Developing and managing track inspection and maintenance schedules, including estimating workforce requirements.
• Preparing reports, work scopes, and documenting track defect findings.
• Conducting weekly safety meetings and providing guidance on safety protocols.
• Training and mentoring team members on track maintenance and construction procedures.
• Supervising employees during inspections, repairs, clean-ups, and new track construction, ensuring personal and team productivity.
• Entering data into client or company maintenance tracking systems as required.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED; additional relevant experience considered.
• Knowledge of FRA regulations and railroad safety standards.
• Strong communication skills for directing teams, collaborating with railroad personnel, and reporting findings.
• Ability to respond quickly to both emergency and routine situations.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to use personal or company vehicles as needed.
• Completion of required safety training and certifications for railroad facilities.
• Physical ability to lift up to 100 lbs, climb, stoop, kneel, and work outdoors in varying conditions.
