The Role & Responsibilities

As a Retail Assistant at Farmfoods, you’ll be involved in all aspects of store operations, from serving customers to merchandising stock and keeping the shop clean and organised. It’s a varied and active role that requires both teamwork and initiative.

Customer Service

  • Serve Customers at the Till
    Process purchases quickly and accurately while greeting customers warmly and answering any questions they may have.

  • Assist with Product Enquiries

Stock Handling and Store Presentation

  • Restock Shelves and Freezers
    Replenish products throughout the shift, ensuring stock is rotated correctly and displayed neatly.

  • Merchandising

  • Receive Deliveries
    Help unload deliveries and move stock into storage areas safely and efficiently.

Store Maintenance

  • Keep the Store Clean and Organised

  • Health & Safety Awareness
    Follow company guidelines for food hygiene, temperature checks for freezers, and safe lifting procedures during unloading.

Qualifications

  • Customer-Service Mindset

  • Physical Stamina
    Comfortable with manual tasks such as lifting boxes, handling heavy stock, and standing for the duration of your shift.

  • Attention to Detail

  • Basic Numeracy Skills
