Key Duties

The Elementary ESOL Resource Teacher supports English language learners by providing direct instruction, coaching, and resources to ensure students acquire both language proficiency and academic skills. This role focuses on collaborating with teachers, staff, and families to meet the needs of students who are developing English language skills.

Responsibilities include:

• Assisting classroom teachers with planning and implementing strategies that align with ESOL standards and Title III requirements.

• Providing small group or individual instruction to students to reinforce English language development.

• Monitoring student progress and maintaining accurate documentation of achievement and growth.

• Supporting the integration of ESOL strategies into general education classrooms.

• Offering professional development and guidance to teachers on effective ESOL practices.

• Collaborating with administrators, staff, and families to promote student success.

• Ensuring compliance with federal, state, and district ESOL program guidelines.

Requirements

• Valid Florida Educator Certificate in Elementary Education K–6.

• Strong understanding of ESOL instructional methods and best practices.

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

• Ability to support teachers and work with diverse student populations.
