FSOS includes the Maintenance Enforcement Program (MEP) and the Child Support Recalculation Program (RP). The Child Support Recalculation Program (RP) offers a purpose-driven opportunity to contribute to building a stronger Alberta, within a workplace culture that values respect, integrity, accountability, excellence, teamwork, open communication, and employee growth.
We are seeking a motivated individual with strong analytical, communication, and people skills to provide recalculation services to clients. The position demands exceptional attention to detail, organizational ability, multitasking under tight deadlines, agility, and independent decision-making. The successful candidate will need to demonstrate agility and solid problem-solving skills while exercising a high-level of independent decision-making.
The successful candidate will:
• Apply legislation to a variety of complex and individualized file circumstances.
• Provide information to stakeholders on the telephone and in writing.
• Focus on customer service and assisting Albertans with access to justice.
• Process registration requests, analyzing court orders to determine clients’ eligibility for our services.
• Perform basic mathematical calculations.
• Review income tax information and determine new child support amounts.
• Analyze file circumstances to make recommendations that RP decline to recalculate where appropriate.
• Accurately enter information into RP’s computer system to record file steps and decisions.
