Job description

Position: Quality Inspector (CMM)
We are looking for a Quality Inspector to join our team in a permanent role. This position is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with a strong background in precision engineering inspection, who is confident using both handheld measuring tools and CMM machines. The position is based in Chorley.

Quality Inspector (CMM) Job Overview

Performing first-off, in-process, and final inspection of machined components
Interpreting and inspecting parts against engineering drawings and specifications
Using handheld inspection equipment such as micrometers, verniers, and gauges
Operating and programming CMM machines (Coordinate Measuring Machines)
Accurately recording inspection results and reporting non-conformances
Supporting continuous improvement and quality control processes

Proven experience as a Quality Inspector within a precision engineering or manufacturing environment
Strong understanding of technical drawings and tolerances
Skilled in using manual measuring equipment and CMM operation/programming
