Job description

Are you a highly skilled Quality Inspector with a strong background in heavy civils and a deep understanding of SHEQ (Safety, Health, Environment, and Quality)? We have an exciting opportunity for a freelance professional to join our clients team on a major water upgrade framework.

This is a key role where you’ll ensure all work adheres to the highest standards of quality and safety, from the ground up.

Key Responsibilities:

Conducting SHE audits and inspections to ensure full compliance with all regulations.

Implementing and monitoring the Health and Safety at Excavations in the Water Industry (HASEMP) framework to mitigate risks associated with excavations.

Working closely with project teams to proactively identify and resolve quality issues.

Performing regular inspections of materials, construction methods, and project documentation.

Maintaining meticulous records of all inspections and audits.

What We’re Looking For:

Proven experience as a Quality Inspector on water treatment or similar heavy civils projects.

In-depth knowledge of quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) processes.

Demonstrable experience with the HASEMP framework and its application in a live project environment.

Excellent understanding of SHEQ standards and the ability to conduct effective SHE audits.

Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Relevant certifications or qualifications in civil engineering or quality management are a plus.
