Quality Control Technician

Location:
Kingsway Distribution Centre, Michael Faraday Avenue, Milnrow, Rochdale, OL16 4FW
Key Duties/Responsibilities
• Measure and inspect garments & product for quality defects
• Using AQL level and systems to create order reports
• Comparing seal samples with PLM system information
• Reporting, recording and analysing results on a weekly/monthly basis
• Liaising and communicating issues with internal/ external departments daily
• Arranging rectification and re-processing as required
• Planning workloads based on daily intake
• Organising Gold Seal samples and reports for next week /day’s orders
• Review returns & factory AQL reports against stock intakes
• Move and locate bulk warehouse stock for inspection using Internal systems
• Maintain spreadsheets using Excel, create graphs and charts for reporting.
• Ad-hoc reports and analysis for the team as required
• Off-site product checks at store and third party
• Requires periods of standing, moving cartons’ and working in an environment with a variety of fabrics and fibres
Skills/Experience/Knowledge needed
• Good organisational and communication skills
• A keen eye for detail & fault finding
• Computer literate
• Numerical and analytical
• Ability to work under pressure
• Requires periods of standing, moving cartons’ and working in an environment with a variety of fabrics and fibres
• Full driving licence required, some travel to head office, external companies and stores
• Pattern cutting / design an advantage but not essential
• Flat / overlock machinist an advantage but not essential
• Previous QC/ QA or retail experience an advantage but not essential.
