  Overview

  To validate engineers’ work meets Gas Safety Regulations and Sureserve Compliance standards, identify knowledge gaps and provide feedback to line managers. Complaint jobs may need visiting and course of events recording, including poor workmanship, CO concerns and problem jobs.
  Responsibilities
  • Validate engineers’ work meets required standards as set out by Gas Safety Regulations and Sureserve Compliance.
  • Identify gaps in engineers’ knowledge and provide feedback to line managers for additional training.
  • Visit complaint jobs as needed and record the course of events, including issues such as poor workmanship, CO concerns and other problems.
  • Provide photographic evidence on the PDA and prepare full reports and recommendations.
  • Ensure sufficient quality checks are undertaken across the area throughout the year to meet client needs and demonstrate standards are met.
  • Ensure engineers comply with health and safety requirements and that issued equipment (PPE, vehicles, ladders) is fit for purpose without defects.
  • Conduct regular HSE checks with each engineer within the contract’s geographical coverage.
  Qualifications
  • Valid ACS and other relevant gas qualifications.
  • Full UK Driving Licence (less than 6 points).
  • Experience within Social Housing desirable but not essential.
