Job description

Quality Assurance Inspector – Permanent Role

Location: Retford

Salary: Equivalent to £32,500 per annum

Pay Rates: £13.26 per hour (Days) / £15.00 per hour (Afters & Nights)

Shift Pattern: 3-week rotation – 1 week Days, 1 week Afters, 1 week Nights (repeating)

Training: 8:00am – 4:40pm (Days only) whilst training

Essential Recruitment are working with a leading manufacturing business in Retford to recruit a Quality Assurance Inspector on a permanent basis. This role offers excellent career prospects within a professional and supportive organisation.

Key Responsibilities:
• Read and interpret technical drawings and work instructions to understand quality expectations
• Approve or reject raw materials and products against quality standards, recording results
• Select output samples and inspect them using measurement tools, functionality tests, and specification comparisons
• Maintain accurate records of inspections, defects, and production metrics
• Assist with Non-Conformance Report (NCR) investigations
• Perform first article inspections and complete associated documentation to meet customer requirements
• Ensure products meet customer expectations and company objectives
• Report inspection findings and suggest corrective actions
• Monitor correct and safe use of equipment

Essential Requirements:
• Proven experience as a Quality Control or Quality Assurance Inspector (manufacturing experience desirable)
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and work instructions
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and basic mathematical skills
• Excellent communication and reporting skills
