Job description

Role Summary:The engineer ensures the PQMS is implemented and adhered to across all project activities, supporting audits and identifying areas for improvement.Ensure adherence to relevant standards, codes, and regulations.Maintain accurate records of quality control and assurance activities, preparing inspection reports, non conformance reports (NCRs), and other quality-related documentation.Ensure all quality documentation is accurate, up-to-date, and compliant with regulations.They monitor the progress of quality control activities and report on the effectiveness of the QMS.Conduct regular inspections and tests of materials, equipment, and processes to verify compliance with specifications.Ensure that all welding activities comply with industry codes, standards (e.g., AWS, ASME, ISO), and project Specifications.Review and approve field QC documents like Request For Inspection, Field Inspection & Testing Report Forms, etc.Review welding procedures, welder qualifications, and materials certifications.Inspect welds visually and through various non-destructive testing (NDT) methods (e.g., ultrasonic testing, radiographic testing, magnetic particle testing).Maintain records of inspections, test results, and compliance reports. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards.Coordinate with engineers, supervisors, and quality assurance teams. Perform or witness mechanical and NDT tests.Oversee project quality to ensure compliance with codes, standards, regulations, equipment-specific specifications, and QMS requirements. Education: Degree or HND in relative discipline or its equivalent.
