Key Duties

The Program Manager for Events and Community Partnerships at the University of Colorado Boulder will lead the planning, execution, and management of university events and community engagement initiatives. This role is pivotal in fostering connections between the campus and local, regional, and national communities. Responsibilities include:

  • Designing, coordinating, and executing large-scale events, including conferences, workshops, and campus-wide programs.
  • Developing and maintaining partnerships with community organizations, local businesses, and other stakeholders to enhance engagement opportunities.
  • Managing budgets, schedules, and logistical details for events and partnership activities.
  • Collaborating with internal departments and cross-functional teams to ensure programs align with university goals and policies.
  • Assessing event and partnership outcomes and implementing improvements for future initiatives.
  • Providing guidance and mentorship to support staff or student workers involved in program operations.
  • Representing the university professionally at events and community functions to build relationships and advance CU Boulder’s mission.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Event Management, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years in event planning, project management, or community partnership roles.
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and project coordination skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
  • Creativity, attention to detail, and flexibility to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
