Job description For Principal Delivery Manager

Job Description Overall objectives The Principal Delivery Manager for Enterprise Data Platforms is responsible for overseeing the successful delivery of multiple data platform initiatives across the organization. This role involves managing project budgets, tracking progress across concurrent projects, providing regular updates to stakeholders, and leading SteerCo meetings. The Delivery Manager will also be accountable for identifying and mitigating project risks to ensure timely and quality delivery of enterprise data solutions. Role specific responsibilities -Manage the end-to-end delivery of enterprise data platform projects, ensuring alignment with strategic goals. -Oversee and manage project budgets, ensuring financial accountability and cost optimization. -Track progress across multiple concurrent projects, ensuring milestones and deliverables are met. -Provide regular updates to stakeholders, including executive summaries and detailed status reports. -Lead SteerCo (Steering Committee) meetings, ensuring effective governance and decision-making. -Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and issues, implementing corrective actions as needed. -Coordinate with cross-functional teams including data engineering, data platforms, architecture, governance, and business stakeholders. -Support resource planning and vendor management for project execution. General functional responsibilities -Drive continuous improvement in delivery processes and reporting frameworks -Ensure adherence to project management methodologies and best practices. -Effectively managing the dependencies across various technology, business, architecture and security domain to ensure the proactive mitigation and timely delivery of the data Programme and associated projects. Qualifications Core competencies required -12+ years of experience in project or delivery management within data or technology domains. -Proven experience managing large-scale data platform projects and budgets. -Strong understanding of enterprise data platforms, data engineering, and cloud technologies. -Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills. -Experience leading SteerCo meetings and executive reporting. -Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive mindset. -Familiarity with project management tools and methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum, Waterfall).
