Key Duties

As a member of the preschool teaching team, you will create a warm, safe, and nurturing environment for children from infancy through five years old. Your role focuses on fostering independence, self-confidence, and respect for individuality. Core responsibilities include:

• Implementing developmentally appropriate curricula and lesson plans.

• Supporting children’s emotional, social, intellectual, and physical development through guided activities.

• Using positive discipline techniques while maintaining appropriate classroom boundaries.

• Collaborating with parents and colleagues to ensure a cohesive and supportive educational experience.

• Maintaining daily records, planning weekly activities, and communicating effectively with families.

• Supervising and mentoring aides or co-teaching staff as required.

• Ensuring adherence to safety protocols and regulatory guidelines in all preschool activities.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; advanced degree preferred.

• Child Development Associate (CDA) credential or equivalent for Lead Teacher positions.

• Completion or willingness to complete 45 hours of Florida Department of Children and Families (DCF) childcare training.

• Demonstrated emotional intelligence, maturity, and ability to manage crises constructively.

• Experience supervising and guiding personnel, particularly in Lead Teacher roles.
