Key Duties

• Prepare ingredients for cooking by cutting, slicing, peeling, and weighing meat, poultry, seafood, fruits, and vegetables.
• Follow prep lists assigned by the chef and ensure proper rotation and labeling of food items.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen workstations, equipment, and utensils.
• Assist in storing food safely to prevent spoilage and restocking kitchen supplies.
• Support other kitchen staff with preparation tasks and ensure smooth workflow during busy periods.
• Sweep, mop, and perform general cleaning tasks to maintain a safe and organized kitchen environment.
• Operate kitchen appliances to assist in food preparation as needed.

Requirements

• Prior experience in a kitchen environment preferred but not required.
• Food Handler’s Certification required or willing to obtain.
• Ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 40 lbs, and perform repetitive motions.
• Dependable, adaptable, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail, cooperation, and effective communication skills.
• Flexible availability, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to follow safety and hygiene standards consistently.
