Key Duties

Pinellas County Schools is seeking a dedicated Social Studies Teacher to join our Clearwater campus. The teacher will deliver engaging instruction that fosters critical thinking, civic understanding, and historical literacy among students. Core responsibilities include:

• Planning and implementing lessons aligned with district curriculum and state standards.

• Maintaining an organized and supportive classroom environment conducive to student learning and engagement.

• Monitoring student progress through formative and summative assessments and adapting instruction to meet diverse learning needs.

• Encouraging student participation, inquiry, and independent thought.

• Collaborating with colleagues, administrators, and parents to support student achievement and development.

• Participating in professional development activities to maintain instructional effectiveness and stay current with educational best practices.

• Upholding district policies and contributing positively to the school’s culture and community.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Education, Social Studies, or related field.

• Valid Florida teaching certification in Social Studies.

• Strong communication, organizational, and classroom management skills.

• Ability to differentiate instruction to support students with varying learning styles.

• Commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.

• Willingness to engage in ongoing professional growth and collaborate with school staff.
