The Eastern Colorado Health Care System (ECHCS) is actively seeking Primary Care Physicians to provide high-quality care to veterans in Colorado Springs. The role involves:
- Delivering comprehensive primary care services, including management of chronic diseases and preventive care.
- Addressing geriatric, women’s health, and mental health needs.
- Administering pain management and addiction treatment as part of patient care plans.
- Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated and effective treatment.
- Maintaining accurate medical records and adhering to VA clinical protocols and standards.
Physicians may also participate in educational programs and training for residents or other healthcare staff as required.
Requirements- Education: Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) from an accredited institution.
- Licensure: Full, unrestricted medical license in any U.S. state, territory, or D.C.
- Residency: Completion of an accredited residency program approved by ACGME, AOA, or recognized non-U.S. program with equivalent U.S. practice experience.
- Language: Proficiency in spoken and written English.
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Board certified or board eligible in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine.
- Experience with chronic disease management, geriatric care, pain management, addiction treatment, mental health care, and women’s health services.
Applicants pending completion of training or licensure may be referred and tentatively selected, but employment is contingent upon meeting all requirements.
