The Role & Responsibilities

As a Part-Time Preschool Teacher, you will be responsible for designing and delivering age-appropriate educational activities while supporting the emotional and social growth of young learners. You will work closely with colleagues, parents, and caregivers to ensure each child receives personalized attention and guidance.

Classroom Instruction

Plan and implement daily lessons that align with the preschool curriculum, focusing on literacy, numeracy, art, and social-emotional development.
Engage children through interactive activities, including storytelling, creative play, music, and movement, to stimulate curiosity and learning.
Assess student progress regularly, adjusting lessons to meet individual needs and learning styles.

Childcare and Safety

Ensure a safe and secure classroom environment, monitoring children at all times and following established health and safety protocols.
Provide guidance and support to help children develop self-discipline, confidence, and positive social interactions.
Address behavioral challenges constructively, promoting a culture of respect and empathy among students.

Communication and Collaboration

Maintain regular communication with parents and guardians, providing updates on progress, achievements, and areas for improvement.
Collaborate with fellow teachers to coordinate lesson plans, share best practices, and support school events or activities.

Qualifications

Educational Background

A Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Education, or a related field is preferred.
Certifications in first aid, CPR, or child safety are highly valued.

Professional Experience

Prior experience in a preschool, daycare, or early childhood classroom is strongly preferred.
Familiarity with child-centered teaching methodologies, including Montessori, Reggio Emilia, or play-based learning approaches.

Skills and Competencies

Strong communication skills for interacting with children, parents, and colleagues effectively.
Ability to plan, organize, and execute lessons that engage young learners and foster development.
