Key Duties

The Pierre Hotel, an iconic luxury destination on Manhattan’s Upper East Side, is seeking a professional and personable part-time Host/Hostess for its restaurant, Perrine. As the first point of contact for our guests, you will ensure a welcoming and seamless experience from arrival to seating. Responsibilities include managing reservations, greeting and escorting guests, coordinating coat check and seating arrangements, and attending to special preferences. You will collaborate closely with servers, bartenders, and managers to maintain smooth dining room operations while delivering exceptional service. Additionally, you will assist with menu presentation and provide guests with accurate information on offerings. Maintaining standards of professionalism, sociability, and attention to detail is essential to creating memorable dining experiences.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a hotel restaurant or fine dining environment.
• Familiarity with New York’s restaurant scene is a plus.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a friendly, outgoing personality.
• Proficiency with reservation systems (OpenTable preferred) and Microsoft Office.
• Knowledge of health and safety standards to maintain a clean, safe environment.
• Ability to maintain a polished, professional appearance at all times.
• Guest-focused, poised, and confident demeanor under pressure.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and assist with front-of-house operations.
