Job Description: Description of activities and key responsibilities of the function
• Operate forklifts and other industrial vehicles to transport materials around the warehouse or storage facility.
• Load and unload goods from trucks, trailers, or railcars.
• Stack and organize large quantities of goods in the correct storage warehouses, following inventory control instructions
• Inspect and perform maintenance on forklifts and other equipment.
• Follow safety guidelines and protocols to ensure a safe work environment.
• Keep accurate records of inventory movements.
• Communicate with warehouse staff and management to coordinate movements and storage.
• Inspect loads for stability and safety before moving them.
• Adhere to schedules and deadlines for shipping and receiving.
• Clean and maintain work areas to ensure compliance with safety regulations. Obtain copy of production schedule and order and transport material or equipment to and from designated areas in the facility
