Key Duties

As the Oil & Gas Senior Attorney in Houston, you will lead the firm’s expansion in the energy sector while managing high-value client relationships and complex legal matters. This role offers a direct pathway to partnership and the opportunity to shape a growing practice.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Leading title examination projects and providing counsel on mineral title, leasehold rights, and regulatory issues in Texas and New Mexico.
• Overseeing and mentoring a team of attorneys and legal staff to deliver high-quality legal services.
• Building and maintaining strong client relationships, while also developing new business opportunities within the oil and gas industry.
• Representing the firm at industry events and strengthening your professional network to expand the firm’s reach.
• Collaborating with internal teams, including HR, marketing, and operations, to ensure efficient practice management.

Requirements

Candidates should demonstrate:

• At least 5 years of direct oil and gas title law experience, particularly in Texas and New Mexico.
• Proven leadership abilities, including team management and supervision of legal work.
• Strong business development skills and an established professional network in the energy industry.
• Excellent communication and client-facing skills, with the ability to simplify complex legal issues.
