Key Duties
As a New Business Development Representative at Wurth Industry North America, you will be responsible for driving growth by securing new customers and expanding market share within your assigned territory. This position focuses on identifying prospective clients, nurturing long-term business relationships, and closing sales agreements that support the company’s profitability and expansion goals.
Your core responsibilities will include:
- Developing sales strategies and territory plans to target new opportunities.
- Researching potential clients using industry databases, networks, and cold outreach.
- Scheduling and leading meetings with prospects to present solutions and services.
- Managing a lengthy sales cycle (6–18 months) with persistence and consistency.
- Delivering tailored presentations and negotiating multi-year agreements.
- Preparing and presenting proposals, contracts, and supporting documentation.
- Tracking sales activity, pipeline status, and client communications in CRM systems.
- Staying informed about market trends, competitors, and customer needs.
- Providing consultative insight to customers and ensuring a smooth onboarding process.
Requirements
To be considered for this role, candidates should bring:
- A bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Supply Chain, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Prior experience in industrial sales or related sectors preferred.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence decision-makers.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- Strong analytical and negotiation skills.
- A valid driver’s license and willingness to travel up to 60%.
