The Meat Wrapper plays a critical role in maintaining product quality and customer satisfaction in the meat and deli department. Core responsibilities include:

Wrapping, weighing, and price-marking meat and deli products according to department standards.

Stocking and rotating products to ensure freshness and proper inventory management.
-
Maintaining department cleanliness, sanitation, and equipment functionality in compliance with health regulations.

Monitoring refrigeration and storage areas, reporting temperature irregularities, and performing minor maintenance as needed.

Handling damaged or spoiled merchandise and ensuring accurate recordkeeping for inventory, markups, markdowns, and spoilage.

Supporting merchandising by keeping displays organized, attractive, and properly stocked.

Providing excellent customer service and responding promptly to inquiries or requests.

Complying with safety procedures, company policies, and participating in loss prevention efforts.

High school education preferred but not required; completion of training or apprenticeship programs considered.

Knowledge of meat cuts, handling, and preparation methods is beneficial.

Ability to perform basic arithmetic and follow detailed instructions for packaging and pricing.

Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Physical capability to lift up to 55 pounds, stand for extended periods, and work in refrigerated or freezer environments.

Ability to operate equipment safely and maintain compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
