The Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a dedicated and experienced Matron to lead our Theatres within the Clinical Services Division. This role involves developing strategies to synchronise all functions and activities across our Chelsea and Sutton sites, ensuring seamless patient care. The successful candidate will manage budgets, lead and motivate staff, and ensure the highest standards of clinical practice and patient care.
The ideal candidate will be an experienced clinician and a proven leader of teams, capable of inspiring and guiding staff to achieve excellence in patient care.

• To develop strategies that synchronize all functions and activities within these units at Chelsea and Sutton, providing seamless patient care across both sites.
• To manage budgets in a cost-effective way. This will include making cost-savings and efficiency measures across all departments.
• To lead, support and motivate professional and clerical staff to optimize their skills and potential utilizing the agreed system of nursing care delivery.
• To report to the Divisional Clinical Nurse Director of Clinical Services on all matters pertaining to the
Clinical Services Division.
• To liaise closely with the Divisional Clinical Nurse Director and Nursing Directorate regarding professional issues.
• To become a proactive member of the Matron Team facilitating close liaison, and coordination of services, between all areas of the Trust.
• To be aware and have experience of relevant legislation and requirements for
Theatres – cross site.
