Harmonic Finance™ is recruiting for an ambitious Management Accountant to join a creative media scale-up in London on a 6-month fixed-term contract. The Role & Responsibilities

The Management Accountant will be responsible for supporting the finance function during a period of growth and transformation. Working closely with senior stakeholders, you will provide accurate reporting, manage month-end processes, and ensure financial data drives decision-making.

Core Responsibilities

Financial Reporting & Analysis

  • Prepare monthly management accounts, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

  • Deliver insightful financial analysis to support strategic and operational decision-making.

Month-End & Reconciliation

  • Lead on month-end close, including journal postings, accruals, and prepayments.

  • Reconcile balance sheet accounts to ensure integrity of financial data.

Budgeting & Forecasting

  • Assist in the preparation of budgets and reforecasts, working closely with department heads.

  • Track performance against budgets and highlight variances with recommendations.

Business Partnering

  • Collaborate with non-finance teams to provide clear financial insight.

  • Support project managers and creatives with cost tracking and profitability analysis.

Compliance & Process Improvement

  • Ensure compliance with statutory regulations and internal controls.

  • Identify opportunities to streamline processes and improve efficiency within the finance function.


Qualifications & Experience

The successful candidate will be a proactive finance professional with strong technical skills and a commercial mindset.

  • Education: Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related subject.

  • Professional Qualification: Part-qualified or newly qualified ACCA, ACA, or CIMA.

  • Experience: At least 3 years’ experience in management accounting, ideally in a creative, media, or scale-up environment.

  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software (Xero preferred) and strong Excel skills.

  • Analytical Skills: Ability to translate financial data into actionable insights.

  • Soft Skills: Strong communication, adaptability, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced setting.
