Grow with us!

For over 100 years, we have worked with individuals and families destabilized by precarious mental health and/or socioeconomic circumstances, to achieve greater resilience and stability in more just and supportive communities. We achieve this through our direct service work of intervention and prevention which includes, case management, counselling, peer support and education; knowledge building; and system-level work including social action, advocacy, community-building and working with partners to strengthen the sector.

We’re proud of our people and culture! We are constantly evolving what we do and how we do it. Our work is grounded in the lived experience of the clients and the community. We celebrate diversity, equity, inclusion, and excellence. We are agile, learning and always willing to try new things.

The Opportunity!

The Next Steps PAR program works with clients referred to FST from the criminal courts and probation officers. Given the over-representation of marginalized men in the criminal justice system, our PAR clients are primarily marginalized men. Groups are co-led by a female-male team. For this position, we are recruiting for a man identified person. Services may be provided individually to clients on an exceptional basis. The group we are recruiting for runs Wednesday mornings from 9:00-12:30 at 355 Church Street..

Key Responsibilities
• Deliver a psycho-educational group for 12 weeks.
• Assist with sign-in, payment collection, attendance and sign-out for participants.
• May assist in individual or group-based assessment/orientations
• May assist in the completion of court reports and/or group activity notes on a timely basis.
