• Assignment Duration: 13 weeks (September 22, 2025 – December 22, 2025)

• Shifts: 5×8-hour shifts per week (Day 07:00–15:00 or Night 23:00–07:00, based on facility needs)

• Guaranteed Hours: 60 hours per 2 weeks

• Estimated Weekly Pay: $970–$1,050

• Patient Ratios: Day 1:4, Night 1:6

Key Duties

As a Travel CNA at Providence Kodiak Island Medical Center, you will provide high-quality care in a long-term care environment. Key responsibilities include:

• Assisting residents with daily activities such as feeding, bathing, turning, repositioning, ambulation, and hygiene.

• Monitoring resident conditions and promptly reporting changes to nursing staff.

• Performing vital sign checks and glucose testing, and supporting skin care and decubitus ulcer prevention.

• Maintaining accurate documentation using the Epic charting system.

• Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams including social services and unit staff.

• Adhering to infection control and PPE protocols.

• Flexibly floating within your CNA scope to meet unit or affiliate facility needs.

Requirements

• Active CNA license (Alaska preferred; pending license accepted if application submitted within 72 hours).

• Minimum 1 year of CNA experience (6 months accepted for first-time travel CNAs).

• Completion of formal CNA training program and current BLS certification.

• Experience with Epic charting preferred.

• Ability and willingness to work 2 out of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year).

• At least 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of LTC experience (6 months for first-time CNAs).

• Must reside at least 50 miles from Kodiak (no local candidates).
