As a Travel CNA at Providence Kodiak Island Medical Center, you will provide high-quality care in a long-term care environment. Key responsibilities include:

Assisting residents with daily activities such as feeding, bathing, turning, repositioning, ambulation, and hygiene.

Monitoring resident conditions and promptly reporting changes to nursing staff.
-
Performing vital sign checks and glucose testing, and supporting skin care and decubitus ulcer prevention.
-
Maintaining accurate documentation using the Epic charting system.
-
Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams including social services and unit staff.
-
Adhering to infection control and PPE protocols.
-
Flexibly floating within your CNA scope to meet unit or affiliate facility needs.
-
Active CNA license (Alaska preferred; pending license accepted if application submitted within 72 hours).

Minimum 1 year of CNA experience (6 months accepted for first-time travel CNAs).

Completion of formal CNA training program and current BLS certification.

Experience with Epic charting preferred.

Ability and willingness to work 2 out of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year).

At least 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of LTC experience (6 months for first-time CNAs).

Must reside at least 50 miles from Kodiak (no local candidates).

Facility-provided housing (1-bedroom apartment) and rental vehicle for assignment duration.
