Key Duties

As a Long Term Substitute, you will step into a classroom setting to provide continuity of instruction and maintain a supportive learning environment in the absence of a full-time teacher.

Core responsibilities include:

• Delivering daily lessons and instructional activities as outlined by the curriculum or classroom teacher.

• Supporting the academic and behavioral needs of students across various subjects.

• Utilizing classroom management strategies to ensure a safe and productive learning environment.

• Communicating effectively with school staff, students, and parents when necessary.

• Completing assigned duties and responsibilities related to instruction and supervision.

Requirements

• Minimum of 60 semester credit hours from an accredited institution (Bachelor’s degree preferred).

• Completion of the Substitute Teacher Training Workshop (required).

• Ability to demonstrate effective classroom management and instructional support.

• Basic proficiency in computer and technology applications used in schools.

• Bilingual skills preferred but not required.
