Job Description

Position: Learning Support Assistant
Location: Carlisle College
Contract Type: Full-time or Part-time
Key Responsibilities:

• Support learners aged 16+ one-to-one or in small groups, including SEND students

• Assist with lesson delivery and engagement

• Provide personal care respectfully where required

• Encourage independence, confidence, and participation

• Work with teaching staff to foster an inclusive environment

• Maintain learner progress records and assessments
  Requirements:

• Experience with SEND learners aged 16+

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Caring, patient, and flexible approach

• Commitment to equality, diversity, and inclusion
  Desirable: Relevant qualification in learning support or SEND, safeguarding knowledge
