Job Description

UAA is hiring Student Language Tutors to assist students in American Sign Language, Alaska Native languages, Chinese, French, German, Japanese, Russian, and Spanish. Tutors help students with grammar, conversational practice, and study skills. Applicants must be enrolled UA students with at least 6 credits per semester and a minimum 2.0 GPA. Prior tutoring or language experience is preferred but not required. Positions are part-time, Student Assistant 2, $15.26/hour, and pooled for Fall and Spring semesters. Students must maintain enrollment, follow instructions, and communicate effectively. Training is provided upon hire.
