Key Duties

Episcopal Children’s Services (ECS4Kids) is seeking compassionate Infant-Toddler Teachers to provide high-quality early childhood education. Teachers will create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment that promotes cognitive, social, emotional, language, and physical development for children from birth to age three. Responsibilities include:

  • Developing and implementing age-appropriate lesson plans aligned with state and federal standards, including VPK, Head Start, and School Readiness programs.

  • Monitoring and supporting children’s developmental milestones, including social-emotional growth, problem-solving, and language acquisition.

  • Conducting daily health checks, maintaining classroom sanitation, and ensuring safety protocols are followed.

  • Building positive relationships with children and families, encouraging parent engagement, and communicating regularly about progress and classroom activities.

  • Planning and facilitating daily routines that balance structured learning, play, and exploration.

  • Supporting children with special needs and dual-language learners as part of an inclusive classroom environment.

  • Maintaining accurate records, completing required trainings, and participating in staff meetings and professional development opportunities.


Requirements

  • Education: High school diploma with Infant-Toddler CDA credential (PCG I), or higher degrees in early childhood education or child development depending on certification level (PCG II-IV).

  • Certifications: TB screening, First Aid, Pediatric CPR, DCF 45-hour training, and ServSafe Food Handler training.

  • Skills: Ability to plan and implement developmentally appropriate curriculum, establish nurturing relationships, manage classroom behavior, and work collaboratively with staff and families.

  • Physical: Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 50 lbs), maintain constant supervision of children, and work in noisy indoor and outdoor environments.

  • Experience working with infants and toddlers in early childhood settings is preferred.
