Key Duties
Mission of Hope Hospice & PAS is seeking a compassionate Homemaker/Caregiver to provide in-home support for patients, ensuring a safe, clean, and comfortable environment. This role focuses on assisting patients with daily living tasks and promoting their well-being under the plan of care.
- Assist patients with household tasks such as light cleaning, laundry, meal preparation, and errands.
- Provide companionship and support to patients, fostering a positive and respectful environment.
- Observe and report any changes in the patient’s condition to the supervisor for continuity of care.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and practice infection control principles.
- Support patients and families with a compassionate and professional approach.
- Follow the Hospice plan of care and perform assigned tasks efficiently.
- Contribute to the smooth operation of the home care environment and support the Hospice philosophy.
Requirements
- High school diploma preferred.
- Minimum of one year of experience providing homemaker or companion services is desirable.
- Ability to read, write, and follow instructions in English effectively.
- Reliable transportation and valid auto insurance.
- Ability to pass a criminal history background check.
- Demonstrated interest in the welfare of elderly or ill individuals.
- Professional, dependable, and able to work independently.
- Bilingual candidates are preferred but not required.
