Key Duties

SteelGate LLC is seeking a Help Desk Technician to provide critical IT support for the US Army Reserves across the Pacific theater. In this role, you will manage end-user devices, troubleshoot hardware and software issues, and ensure seamless access to network systems including SIPR, NIPR, CENTRIX, and STAMIS. Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting, configuring, and testing IT equipment and peripherals according to standard procedures.

  • Conducting application and data migrations, including installations, moves, and reconfigurations.

  • Troubleshooting connectivity, server, and software issues, including Active Directory and USARC-specific applications.

  • Collaborating with network engineers, local help desks, and OEMs to resolve technical challenges.

  • Conducting site surveys, pre-installation checks, and verifying remote access setups.

  • Providing end-user training and maintaining documentation in ticketing systems like Altiris/Remedy.

Requirements
  • 5–7 years of IT support experience in mixed environments (SIPR, NIPR, CENTRIX, STAMIS).

  • DoD 8570 IAT Level II Compliance: Security+ with CE certification.

  • Strong technical knowledge of servers, mobile devices, A/V equipment, and IT troubleshooting.

  • Familiarity with OS delivery tools (Altiris DS, SCCM) and command-specific applications (RCAS, RLAS, DMO, ITRS, iPerms, DTS).

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in fast-paced environments.
