The Role & Responsibilities
The Graduate Trainee Accountant will work closely with senior finance staff to support accounting operations and financial reporting. This role is designed to provide comprehensive exposure to a wide range of accounting functions, helping trainees develop practical skills and industry knowledge.
Core Responsibilities
Financial Record Management

Assist in maintaining accurate financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.

Support month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
Reporting & Analysis

Prepare basic financial reports and assist in the analysis of financial data to support decision-making.

Help identify trends, variances, and potential improvements in financial performance.
Compliance & Audit Support

Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and internal policies.

Assist with internal and external audits, preparing supporting documentation and addressing queries from auditors.
Professional Development

Engage in structured training programs to gain knowledge in key accounting principles and practices.

Work towards professional qualifications such as ACCA, ACA, or CIMA, with guidance and support from senior staff.
Qualifications & Experience

Education: Recent graduate in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.

Professional Aspirations: Interest in pursuing a recognized accounting qualification (ACCA, ACA, or CIMA).

Technical Skills: Basic understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and Excel or other accounting software.
