Key Duties

The Full-time Instructor will teach and mentor students pursuing careers in turfgrass management and golf course maintenance. Responsibilities include:

  • Delivering online instruction over 8-week courses, with one live lecture per week for each class

  • Administering curriculum, engaging students in virtual discussions, and monitoring student progress

  • Overseeing and supporting the internship program for hands-on student experience

  • Assisting the Executive Director with curriculum content management and supporting marketing initiatives for the Turfgrass program

  • Participating in College of Golf department meetings and Keiser University professional development activities via remote access

  • Promoting student success and professional development within the turfgrass industry

Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Turfgrass, Agronomy, or a related field

  • Experience: Knowledge and practical experience in turfgrass management or golf course maintenance

  • Certifications/Membership: Membership in GCSAA is preferred

  • Skills: Strong communication, organization, and online teaching abilities; passion for mentoring students and promoting career growth in the turfgrass industry

  • Technical: Ability to teach and engage students effectively in an online learning environment
