Location: Brunel University of London, Uxbridge Campus

Hours: Full-time (35 hours per week, shift pattern including weekends)

Contract Type: Permanent

Brunel University Gym is looking for a dedicated Fitness Professional who will always strive to improve, be innovative and deliver high quality sessions in order to help our gym members reach their exercise goals.

As a Fitness Instructor, you will be responsible for delivering gym inductions, leading fitness classes, creating tailored training programmes, and providing personal training sessions for our members. Your role will also include daily administrative tasks such as responding to emails, handling member account enquiries, supporting sales and marketing efforts (including social media), and maintaining accurate membership database records.

You’ll play a vital role in ensuring our members have an exceptional workout experience by upholding the highest standards of cleanliness and safety in the gym. This includes performing regular cleaning duties and conducting equipment checks. At the core of your role is a commitment to outstanding customer service and satisfaction.

As part of the role, you will receive additional income for personal training sessions delivered and be required to work a shift pattern that includes weekends.

We are looking for someone who has proven communication and customer service skills. The individual must also have a proactive and flexible approach to meeting the demands of a busy department. A sound knowledge of health and fitness is essential and a minimum of Level 2 Fitness Instructor certification or proof that you are working towards the completion of the course is required. A valid First Aid certificate would be an advantage.

£25,922 to £26,389 per annum inclusive of London Weighting with potential to progress to £26,852 per annum inclusive of London Weighting through sustained exceptional contribution (Pro-rata for Part-time) Grade G3
