The Role & Responsibilities
As a Fitness Centre Associate, you’ll contribute to the smooth running of the hotel’s leisure club, ensuring guests and members receive exceptional service while maintaining a clean, safe, and inviting environment.
Guest Service & Experience

Front Desk Support
Welcome guests and club members, assist with check-ins, provide information on facilities, class schedules, and membership options in a warm and professional manner. -
Customer Support
Respond to member queries, support bookings for personal training or classes, and manage basic administrative tasks such as membership updates and payment processing. -
Facility Tours
Conduct tours of the gym, studio space, spa, and pool areas for new members or guests, providing friendly guidance and information.
Facility Maintenance & Safety

Ensure Cleanliness and Organisation
Keep workout areas, locker rooms, and reception tidy and well-stocked with towels, water, and supplies. -
Health and Safety Monitoring
Regularly check equipment, pool areas, and spa spaces to ensure safety guidelines and hygiene standards are met. Report any equipment issues or hazards to the manager.
Member Engagement

Assist with Classes/Events
Support the set-up of group fitness classes or wellness events, ensuring equipment is ready and guests are welcomed. In some cases, leading basic fitness sessions or warm-ups if qualified. -
Promote Wellness Programmes
Encourage member participation in wellness programmes, personal training services and highlight current promotions or hotel leisure offers.
Qualifications & Skills

Customer Service Experience
Previous experience in a gym, leisure club, spa or hospitality front desk is highly desirable. -
Fitness Enthusiasm
An interest in fitness, sports, or wellness is essential— formal qualifications (e.g. Level 2 Gym Instructor, First Aid, or Lifeguard Certification) are a bonus. -
Communication Skills
Confident speaking with guests, explaining services, handling inquiries calmly and professionally. -
Organisational Skills
Ability to manage multiple tasks such as guest check-in, stock checks, cleaning duties and bookings. -
Professionalism & Reliability
You should be punctual, well-presented and comfortable representing the hotel brand with pride. -
Basic IT Skills
Comfortable using booking systems, email, and MS Office to complete basic admin and reports.
